" cuz its like, an abandoned mall you guys! Like, how totally cool would that be! And who doesnt love sexualizing minors, amirite!? Best DLC everrrr!!!" Neil figured throwing what people actually wanted out the window, just to force the player to instead, frolick in la-la land with a newly introduced underage lesbian partner. He probably figured that stuff would be more appropriate and well received. Pretty sure it was Bruce Straley who oversaw those chapters. in the zombie apocalypse the game is actually set in? The other 3 chapters, where you play out some of the actual events left out of the main story, while you fight bad guys and zombies. Those 3 chapters completely abandoned the formula everyone loved from the main game, and they had absolutely nothing to do with its story. in the 3 cringey, boring, totally out of place chapters in the Left Behind DLC that Neil did. So yeah, this guy is another clown and Neil is the circus owner.Įllie's sexuality was changed. This sub for the most part hates Abby who is the straight one and the one we are forced to play as half the game plus beat the crap out of Ellie with which was painful for most of us (I was literally rooting for Ellie while controlling Abby, like wtf? They seriously failed at making us here care for Abby's shit and her friends) and it seems more than half the people here (Including me) would have accepted Joel dying but the problem was HOW he was killed. Those same trailers are the ones they edited to mislead us into thinking Joel would play a big part in the story (While alive not as a memory). Left Behind isn't the only thing that implied Ellie was a lesbian, the literal Last of Us 2 trailer showed her and Dina embracing each other and talking/looking all lovey dovey (Mainly Dina). That single factor meant I was a risky prospect and had to get my parents to back me.This guy is just looking for internet points and smelling his own farts with the rest. I was single with zero intent to marry, and even if it had been on the cards it sure as fuck wouldn’t have been to the sort of person who would immediately insist I quit my job and stay at home.īut apparently, the fact that I was a woman overshadowed all of that stuff. My parents had to go guarantors for the loan. During the conversation with the credit union rep I was told that I was a risk because I might get married within the 5 year loan period (with the unspoken implication that if this hypothetical marriage were to occur it would immediately result in my becoming a housewife) and that, not entirely linked to the possibility of nuptials, I might also get pregnant (and again, be rendered incapable of paid work.) In the late 90s, having secured a permanent and full-time position as a teacher, I applied for a car loan. not just when it’s convenient to redirect conversations about women if they were white i guarantee they would not be seen as threatening you need to care about racism period. it defies white supremacist gender roles on the basis of race. it’s because black skin is seen as inherently threatening and masculine. but it’s not because maleness is demonized. interesting how people talk about ‘misandry’ only in the context of having other oppressed identities you can’t say men are oppressed as a whole for their gender if it has to come with a modifier and yeah black men are considered a threat‚ sometimes more than women of color. the common denominator is not gender misogyny affects all women regardless. this wave of anti-feminist rhetoric that prioritizes mens feelings over women’s liberation will be the death of us ‘‘but what about men of color’’ it’s racism. these identities only matter when used as a token or talking point for shutting down discussions about misogyny. none of the people prioritizing men and their comfort ever express concern or overt support for black women, queer women, or disabled women. People on here are like “but men ARE oppressed!! just look at ” and-aside from the fact that being oppressed in some way apart from gender is in no way the same as being oppressed for being a man-i see none of that energy returned for women who are also oppressed on another axis.
